1. Introduction
Welcome to MakaziMapya. These Terms of Service ("ToS") govern your use of our website located at makazimapya.com (the "Website"), which facilitates the advertisement and discovery of properties for sale and rent in Tanzania.
2. User Accounts
- Sellers: Linking an Instagram account is optional and is offered to help with onboarding, so that posts can be automatically synced with the platform and sellers notified when this happens. Sellers may instead create an account and post listings directly on the platform without linking Instagram, and are not required to send ad details or photos via WhatsApp. Sellers may also be offered access to buyer inquiries relevant to their listings, which may require payment of a fee to view the buyer's contact details.
- Buyers: Registration is required for receiving personalized ad alerts via email based on preferences.
2a. AI WhatsApp Assistant
We provide an AI-powered WhatsApp assistant to help with customer service inquiries. The assistant may occasionally make mistakes, and you may ask to be connected with a human team member at any time. The assistant is intended only to help with matters related to real estate listings and services on the MakaziMapya platform, and should not be used or relied upon for investment, business, legal, or other advice unrelated to the platform.
3. Content and Ads
Users are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content they provide. MakaziMapya reserves the right to remove or edit content deemed inappropriate or in violation of these ToS.
4. Notifications and Communications
By registering, buyers agree to receive email notifications related to their preferences. Communication regarding ad management (e.g., deletion requests) must be directed to the specified WhatsApp number.
To help you discover relevant properties, we may use your activity on the Website along with your contact details, such as your phone number and email address, to personalize recommendations and reach out to you by email or text message. Contact details of users may also be shared with other users, such as sellers or agents, and with trusted third parties, to facilitate potential transactions or related offers, as further described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Privacy and Data Protection

6. Prohibitions
