How to Promote a Listing on MakaziMapya

Step 1 — Go to Your Listings

Click your profile picture (or initials) in the top navigation bar. A dropdown menu will appear. Click My Posts.

Step 2 — Click Promote

Find the listing you want to promote and click the blue Promote button at the bottom of the listing card.

Only published listings show the Promote button.

Step 3 — What Happens Next

If you have an active subscription with available slots:
The listing is promoted immediately. The button turns amber and shows Pause Promo, and a Renews in X days indicator appears below it.

Promotion works by automatically re-posting your listing every few hours so it continuously rises back to the top of search results. Higher plans renew more frequently and support more listings at once. Click here for current plans and renewal rates.

If you have no active subscription:
You are automatically redirected to the subscriptions page to choose a plan.

If you have a plan but all slots are used:
A prompt appears saying "No Promotion Slots Available". Click Upgrade Plan to move to a higher tier.

Step 4 — Choosing a Plan (if redirected)

1. Visit pricing to compare plans and pick one that fits your needs
2. Click Subscribe, select your mobile money network (Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money, Halopesa, or M-Pesa)
3. Enter your number (e.g. 0712345678) and click Pay Now
4. Accept the payment push notification on your phone — it will appear from CLICKPESA
5. Once confirmed, go back to My Posts and click Promote again

Pausing a Promotion

Click the amber Pause Promo button to stop the automatic renewals for that listing. The slot is immediately freed up for another listing.
